TOP PERFORMERS
GAME 1:  Assumption 3, SNHU 1 (8 innings)
  • The Penmen loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the first inning, but the inning ended when the Greyhounds turned a liner by sophomore Charlotte Donovan (Biddeford, Maine) into a double play to end the threat.
  • Assumption started the third with a single by Alyssa Johnson and after two successful sacrifice bunts, she scored on a single by Kaitlyn Cahill.
  • SNHU managed only a pair of infield singles from the second through the sixth innings, but started the seventh with a single by Lineman.
  • Pinch-runner, sophomore Kennedy Craigue (Bow, N.H.) moved to second on a bunt by sophomore Grace Jenkins (Groton, Conn.).
  • Abbott tied the game with a single to center field.
  • Pinch-hitter Naomi Cohen delivered a single in the top of the eighth and advanced to third when Cahill reached on an error.  A fielders choice and a single by Molly Green gave Assumption two runs.
  • DeMoura had a two-out single in the bottom of the eighth before Donovan's fly was snagged to end the game.
  • Kaelin Waldron went the distance in the circle for the Greyhounds to earn the win.
GAME 2:  Assumption 1, SNHU 0
  • Colbert shined for the Penmen in the circle, but SNHU did not have many chances to score against Ashley Dalo, making just her second start for the Greyhounds.
