Junior Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) went 2-0, including a No. 1 singles victory that clinched the match, to help guide the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team to a 6-1 triumph over Bentley University on Saturday at the Ouellette Stadium Tennis Courts.
KEY MOMENT
- SNHU fell behind, 1-0, in doubles, but pulled even before Abadzic and sophomore Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) pulled out a 7-5 win at the top flight against Sonali Parasu and Isabella Kaldy to put the Penmen up, 1-0, in the match.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire wins its season opener for the seventh straight year.
- SNHU leads the all-time series with Bentley, 19-9, and extends its winning streak to 18. The last time the Falcons topped the Penmen was April 23, 2009 (5-3) at home. SNHU has also won nine straight at home in the series.
