Rollins Earns Individual Medalist Honors, as Final Round of AIC Invite is Canceled

Penmen finish third

SOUTHWICK, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team saw the final round of the American International College Invitational, scheduled for Thursday at The Ranch Golf Club, canceled due to expected rain throughout the day.

Senior Evan Rollins (Laconia, N.H.), who carded an even-par 72 Wednesday to sit in first place going into the final round, earns individual medalist honors by one stroke over sophomore Andrew Surprenant (Boscawen, N.H.). The Penmen, as a team, finished third – just five shots back of Assumption University, which won with a 297.

The Penmen are back in action Sept. 29-30 when they host the Penmen Fall Invitational at Concord (N.H.) Country Club.
