Jack Hall (Avon, Conn.) added 18, as five Penmen scored in double figures to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's basketball team to an 89-74 victory against Franklin Pierce University on Wednesday at the FPU Fieldhouse.
KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire held a 15-14 edge nearly seven minutes into the contest when it scored 31 of the next 41 points to crack open a 46-24 advantage with 3:37 to play in the half. Wallace and Hall each scored six during the stretch, while senior Ray Daniels (Las Vegas, Nev.), redshirt-junior Jahshawne Joseph (Malvern, Ontario) and senior Ugo Nwachukwu (Imo State, Nigeria) each recorded five.
- Franklin Pierce whittled its deficit to 13 at 61-48 with 11:43 to go, but a 14-4 run – led by six from Wallace – gave the Penmen their largest lead of the night at 75-52 with 6:43 left. A 13-2 blitz pulled the Ravens within 80-69 with 2:43 on the clock, but that was as close as the hosts would get.

- Southern New Hampshire snaps its first four-game losing streak in more than six years.
- Wallace went 9-for-18 from the field, including 1-for-2 from long distance, and 2-for-3 from the line, while grabbing a pair of rebounds and dishing four assists.
- Hall was an efficient 6-for-9 from the floor, including 6-for-8 from deep, and collected a pair of rebounds.
- Nwachukwu posted 14 points (5-6 FG, 2-2 3-FG, 2-6 FT) and eight boards.
- Senior T.J. Morris (Jamaica, N.Y.) tallied 14 points (4-6 FG, 6-8 FT), seven rebounds and three steals.
- Daniels netted a season-high 12 points (4-6 FG, 2-3 3-FG, 2-3 FT), to go with four rebounds.
- Joseph registered five points (1-1 FG, 1-1 3-FG, 2-2 FT), six rebounds, six assists and three steals.
- SNHU leads the all-time series with Franklin Pierce, 79-35, and has won nine-in-a-row. The last FPU win came Dec. 4, 2021 in an 87-83 home overtime win. The Penmen have also now captured four straight in Rindge.
- Wallace has scored in double figures in all 17 contests this season and continues to lead the NE10 in scoring (22.0 ppg).
