KEY MOMENTS
  • SNHU trailed 8-4 just over four-and-a-half minutes in when it ripped off an 11-2 run – led by seven from sophomore Kameron St. Pierre (Swansea, Mass.) –  to jump in front, 15-10, with 1:43 left in the opening quarter. SCSU hit back with a 14-2 flurry into the second quarter to jump in front, 24-17, with 6:10 left. Four different Penmen scorers combined to put up eight straight that flipped the hosts back into the lead at 25-24 with 2:14 to go and they would bring a 30-29 edge to the locker room.
  • The Penmen still led by one (39-38) after three, but trailed by one with less than four minutes to play in the contest when the Owls buried back-to-back triples to go widen the lead to 51-45 with 1:58 on the clock. They would hit all four of their free throws down the stretch to seal it.
