Five From Women's Tennis Land on NE10 All-Conference Teams

Abadzic, Tsui and Armannsdottir collect Second Team honors

NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – Junior Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) and sophomore Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team were selected to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team at No. 1 doubles, while freshman Eyglo Armannsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) joined them at No. 5 singles, as five Penmen received All-Conference accolades when the league office announced its end-of-the-season honors Tuesday.

Abadzic and Tsui are 18-6 on the season, including 16-5 at the top flight, and are 9-3 in NE10 play. The duo, ranked 46th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Division II Rankings, won nine-in-a-row from March 2-April 18.

Armannsdottir is 12-7 in her first season of collegiate tennis, including 10-6 at No. 5 and 8-3 in the league. She is currently riding a five-match winning streak.

Tsui also collected an individual honor with a Third Team pick at No. 2 singles. She is 15-7 on the year, including 12-4 at No. 2 singles and 7-4 in NE10 play.

Armannsdottir was also a Third Teamer at No. 3 doubles, along with classmate Lucia Dusseljee (Helmond, Netherlands). They both received All-Rookie Team nods. They are 7-6, overall, as well as 5-2 in league action.

Dusseljee was also a Third Team pick at No. 6 singles, while fellow freshman Megan Leck (Wolviston, Billingham, U.K.) joined them on the Third Team at No. 3 singles and on the All-Rookie Team. Dusseljee has gone 13-7 this season, including 11-6 at No. 6 and 8-4 in the NE10.

Leck is 12-10, including 11-9 at No. 3 and 6-5 in the conference.

The Penmen are 15-6, including 9-3 in league play and earned the No. 3 seed for the NE10 Championship. SNHU was defeated by second-seeded Assumption University in the semifinal round and will now await its fair for a potential at-large bid to the NCAA Championship. The NCAA Selection Show airs Monday, May 4 (8 p.m.) on NCAA.com.
