Women's Tennis Falls, 5-2, at Adelphi

When and Where: April 3, 2026 – Oceanside, N.Y. (Point Set Tennis Center)
Score: Michigan Technological University 7, Southern New Hampshire University 0
Records: SNHU 9-5 (5-3 NE10), AU 12-4 (10-0 NE10)

Sophomore Lois Tsui (Amsterdam, Netherlands) won both of her matches, but the Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis team dropped a 5-2 decision to Adelphi University on Friday afternoon at the Point Set Tennis Center.

KEY MOMENT
  • Adelphi was looking to put the match away, up 3-0, when Tsui eked out a 6-4, 7-6 (10-6) win over Zuzanna Witkowska at No. 2 singles.
NOTES
  • SNHU had won seven of its last eight, including two-in-a-row, but has now dropped two consecutive matches.
  • Tsui also teamed with junior Dajana Abadzic (Weinstadt, Germany) to double up Katarina Liedbeck and Roisin Boyd, 6-3, at the top doubles flight. That win evened doubles at 1-1, but the Penmen would lose the point in a tiebreaker at No. 2.
  • Freshman Lucia Dusseljee (Helmond, Netherlands) was a 7-6 (12-10), 6-2 winner at No. 6 singles against Kayla Castellano.
  • Freshman Eyglo Armannsdottir (Reykjavik, Iceland) forced a third-set tiebreaker at No. 5 singles, but fell to Sara Lindeman, 4-6, 6-3, 10-5.
  • Adelphi, which leads the all-time series, 14-11, defeats SNHU for the 13th time in the last 17 meetings, including the fifth straight. The Panthers have also defeated the Penmen on their  home court in three straight.
WHAT'S NEXT
  • The Penmen are back in action Wednesday, April 8 (3 p.m.) when they travel to the College of the Holy Cross.
