Blake Wozniak (Garden Grove, Calif.) totaled a game-high five points on four goals and one assist to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse team to a 19-6 non-conference victory over Dominican (N.Y.) University on Wednesday afternoon at Ouellette Stadium.
KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire struck first and never trailed, as goals from sophomore PJ Cunningham (Bronx, N.Y.) and junior Sean Dwyer (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) helped build an early advantage. Wozniak added a pair of first-quarter tallies, including one off a feed from junior Joey Gallo (Derry, N.H.), to give the Penmen a 5-3 lead after one.
- The Penmen took control in the second quarter, scoring five unanswered goals — including another from Wozniak — to carry a 10-3 lead into halftime.
- After Dominican trimmed the deficit to 10-4 early in the third, SNHU responded with a 4-2 run to extend the margin to 14-6 heading into the final quarter.
- Southern New Hampshire put the game out of reach in the fourth, netting five more goals — including Wozniak's fourth of the day — to secure the 19-6 victory.
