NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer, women's basketball and women's ice hockey teams all earned the NE10 Team Academic Excellence Award on Tuesday.
The award, which started being handed out in 2010, recognizes the programs with the highest team GPA in each of the league's 24 sponsored sports. Men's soccer earns the honor for the third time (2012-13, 2015-16) with a 3.498 grade-point average (GPA). Women's basketball captures the award for the fourth time (2012-13, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2024-25), as it posted a 3.766 GPA. Ice hockey posted a 3.726 GPA and receives the accolade for the seventh time (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2018-19, 2021-22, 2023-24).
Overall, 193 of 211 NE10 programs (91%) had at least a 3.0 GPA, while 125 teams hit the 3.3 mark and 60 made it to 3.5. The NE10's full-membership GPA for the year was 3.275, with all 10 institutions posting a 3.0 or higher for the 2025-26 season.
