Sean Correia (W. Warwick, R.I.) scored early in the 14th minute to lead the 21st-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 3-0 triumph over Felician University on Wednesday.
KEY MOMENT
- After fifth year Inigo Burusco (Pamplona, Spain) set up Correia's goal at 13:04, senior Tyler Kraft (Londonderry, N.H.) doubled the Penmen lead with just 3:40 remaining in the opening half. Classmate Charlie Preus (London, U.K.) collected an assist on the play.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, ranked 21st in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, is undefeated through the first three matches of the season for the second straight year.
- Southern New Hampshire improves to 4-0-0 all-time versus Felician, including 3-0-0 at home. This was the first meeting between the two teams since Aug. 26, 2006.
- Fifth year Alvaro Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) made four saves for his first shutout of the season and ninth in his two years with the Penmen.
