Alex Pons (Castellón, Spain) found the back of the net in the opening four minutes of the second half to power the fifth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University men's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over cross-town rival Saint Anselm College on Wednesday night at Ouellette Stadium.

- Fandunyan broke the scoreless tie 38 seconds after halftime off a cross from sophomore Gabi Barroso (A Coruña, Spain).
- Pons, making his first start in nearly a month, then followed with a strike 3:12 later to double the Penmen lead.
NOTES
- Southern New Hampshire, ranked fifth in the latest United Soccer Coaches Division II Top 25, is 6-0-2 for the second straight season.
- Southern New Hampshire leads the all-time series with Saint Anselm, 36-9-7, and is unbeaten in 14 of the 16 meetings (12-1-3), including three straight. SNHU is now 18-3-3 at home against Saint Anselm and is unbeaten in seven of the last eight there (6-1-1).
- Fifth year Alvaro Garcia (Barcelona, Spain) stopped both shots he faced for his third clean sheet of the season and his 11th as a Penmen.
- Fandunyan now has three goals on the season, with all of them coming in the last four matches.
- Pons' goal is his first of the season and second in his Penmen career.
