Junior Emma Noheimer (Mansfield, Conn.) scored her  third goal of the season as the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team played Mercy University to a 1-1 draw in non-conference action Wednesday afternoon at Ouellette Stadium.

KEY MOMENT

• Noheimer broke a scoreless tie in the 30th minute when she curled a free kick through traffic and into the far side of the net to give the Penmen a 1-0 lead. Mercy answered less than two minutes later when Astrid Borglund headed home a long feed from Femke Demets to even the match.

NOTES

• Noheimer's goal was her third of the season, tying senior Avary Hall (Bloomfield Hills, Mich.) and fifth year Mollie Cahalane (Merrimac, Mass.) for the team lead. It was also the fourth goal of Noheimer's career.
• SNHU held a 10-6 advantage in shots and put four attempts on goal, compared with one for Mercy. The Penmen also held a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.
• Senior Isabel Hughes (Phoenix, Ariz.) played all 90 minutes in goal for the Penmen. Mercy's lone shot on goal was Borglund's tying goal in the 32nd minute, as the SNHU defense did not allow another shot on target the rest of the match.
• Mercy goalkeeper Heiddis Sigurdardottir made three saves, including second-half stops on freshman Madison Taylor (Weymouth, Mass.) and junior Lauren Fox (Yonkers, N.Y.).
• The Penmen are unbeaten in their last four meetings with Mercy and lead the all-time series, 6-3-3.
• SNHU is now 71-38-28 (.620) over its last 137 matches dating back to the start of the 2017 campaign.
