RINDGE, N.H. - Sophomore All-American Johannah Leedham was
8-11 from three-point land and totaled 31 points as No. 14 Franklin
Pierce University cruised to a 88-60 Northeast-10 women's
basketball victory over Southern New Hampshire University Saturday
afternoon at the FPU Fieldhouse. The Ravens improve to 13-2
and 8-2 in league play, while the Penmen are 7-8 and 4-7 in the
league.
Leedham connected on all seven of
her three-point attempts in the first half and was 11-17 overall
from the floor for the game. Sister Jennifer Leedham was 8-10
from the floor, 4-4 from behind the arc and totaled 20 points and
seven assists.

(Franconia, NH) registered a double-double for Southern New
Hampshire, notching 17 points and 10 rebounds. Megan
Shay (Candor, NY) was 4-8 from three-point land and
totaled 14 points.
Johannah Leedham scored 20 points
in the first 6:26 of the contest, her sixth three-pointer of the
half giving the Ravens a 22-10 lead. Franklin Pierce
continued to pull away and used a 9-0 run to close the half to take
a 57-25 halftime lead. The hosts would maintain at least a
25-point lead over the final 20 minutes.
Franklin Pierce shot a staggering
70% (21-30) over the first 20 minutes and were 10-14 (71.4%) behind
the arc in the first half, and finished the game at 53.6% overall
and 58.3% from three-point land. Southern New Hampshire
outrebounded the Ravens 42-28, but committed 30 turnovers that led
to 32 FPU points.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Wednesday night when it travels to Bryant University for a
5:30 contest.
