Women's Basketball Quartet Collects CSC Academic All-District Team Honors

Gordon is eligible for Academic All-America recognition

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Senior Meghan Gordon (Attleboro, Mass.), graduate student Sydnie DeVries (Monson, Mass.), junior Ava Winterburn (New Boston, N.H.) and sophomore Kameron St. Pierre (Swansea, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's basketball team were named to the Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, Tuesday.

An NE10 All-Conference Second Team and NE10 Academic All-Conference pick, Gordon started all 27 games this season, posting 14.4 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 block and just shy of 1.0 steal per contest, while shooting 48 percent (160-333) from the floor and 80.3 percent (53-66) at the stripe. Gordon scored in double figures in 21 games and reached 20 points four times, while collecting 10 or more rebounds on seven occasions and recording six double-doubles. The two-time NE10 Player of the Week (Jan. 5, Jan. 26) ranked second in field goals made and field goal percentage, third in blocked shots, fourth in rebounding, and sixth in scoring. A CSC Academic All-District selection each of the previous two years, Gordon is a biology major with a 3.94 GPA.

DeVries, who is pursuing her MBA and owns a 3.92 GPA, after earning her undergraduate degree in sport management with a 3.91 GPA, receives the CSC honor for the second straight year. DeVries started all 27 games, and posted 5.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steal per contest, while hitting 47.5 percent (56-118) of her shots from the field.

Winterburn also gathers the honor for the second consecutive season. She took a step forward this season, netting 11.9 points on 39.7 percent (117-295) shooting, including 35.1 percent (59-168) from downtown. Winterburn, who started all 27 contests, also tallied 4.8 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.0 steal and nearly a block per game. Her 59 3-pointers are the sixth most in a single season in program history. Winterburn, an economics and finance major with a 3.91 GPA, ranked third in the NE10 in 3-pointers made, eighth in 3-point field goal percentage and 13th in scoring.

St. Pierre, a business administration major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, played an important bench role in all 27 games, chipping in 5.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists, while leading the team in free throw shooting at 91.2 percent (31-34).

The 2026 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America finalists, which Gordon is, are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced April 15.
