Men's Cross Country Competes at New England Championship

COMPLETE RESULTS 

BOSTON - Senior Alex Brown (Hudson, NH) paced the Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team with an eight kilometer time of 27:28 as it competed at the New England Championship at Franklin Park Saturday.  The Penmen placed 47th as a team.

Brown's time, the second-fastest 8K time in school history, was good for 213th in the field.  He has now established the top three times in school history this season.  Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale, NY) finished in a time of 30:03, while Michael Smith (Lynnfield, MA) finished in 31:08.  Jensen Bodden (New Orleans, LA) finished in a time of 31:25.

Kevin Coyle (Salem, NH) registered a time of 32:03 while Matt Caredeo (Salem, NH) was eight seconds behind with a 32:11 effort.  Jason Bays (Pen Argyl, PA) ran a time of 31:25 while Matt Gray (Haverhill, MA) finished in a time of 35:27.

SNHU returns to action October 25 when it competes at the Northeast-10 Championships, which will be held at Saint Michael's College.
