SMALL COLLEGE CHAMPIONSHIPS
MOBILE, Ala. -
Sophomore Amber Chandronnait (Bow, NH) of the
Southern New Hampshire University women's tennis dropped her
opening match in the Division II draw of the ITA National Small
College Championships on Thursday. Chandronnait fell to
top-seeded Hewenfei Li of BYU-Hawaii 6-0, 6-3.
The ITA National Small College
Championships pit the winners of eight ITA regional tournaments in
singles and doubles competition against each other at the Division
II, Division III, NAIA and junior college levels.
Chandronnait qualified for the tournament with her win at the
Wilson/ITA East Regional held September 19-21.
Chandronnait returns to action in
the consolation round Friday when she squares off with Darina
Berkova of Northwood University.
