MANCHESTER, N.H. - John
Delanoy (Lansdale, PA), who recently wrapped up a
three-year career with the Southern New Hampshire University men's
lacrosse program, has been selected to play in the 67th Annual
United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division
I-II North-South All-Star Game as a member of the North
squad. Delanoy is one of just six Division II players on the
North team and one of just 14 Division II players among the 60
selected to the game.
The North-South All-Star Game will
take place on Friday, May 23 at 4:00 pm at Boston's Harvard
Stadium. The Division III North-South game will take place at
2:00, while the Division I-II contest will be followed by a Major
League Lacrosse game between the Boston Cannons and the Rochester
Rattlers at 7:00.
Delanoy, a midfielder, recently
wrapped up his three-year career as one of the most decorated
players in program history. A three-time Northeast-10
All-Conference and All-New England selection, he was also a
two-time preseason All-American and garnered Honorable Mention
All-America status as a junior in 2007. This season, Delanoy,
a tri-captain, recorded 17 goals and 20 assists to rank third in
scoring on the Penmen. For his career, Delanoy racked up 70
goals and 40 assists for 110 points in 39 games.
Delanoy was also a two-time member
of the Northeast-10 men's lacrosse All-Academic Team. As a
junior, he was named SNHU's Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, then
as a senior received the University's Male Sportsmanship Award.
