Men's Cross Country Competes at Bryant Invite

COMPLETE RESULTS

SMITHFIELD, R.I. - Senior Alex Brown (Hudson, NH) ran a five-kilometer time of 17:19 to finish 11th overall to pace the Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team at the Bryant Invitational Saturday afternoon.  The Penmen finished fifth as a team.

Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale, NY) was the next highest SNHU finisher as he placed 27th with a time of 19:11.  Jensen Bodden (Essex, VT), running his first race of the season, finished 31st with a time of 19:19, while Matt Caredeo (Salem, NH) ran a time of 19:51 to place 35th.

Jason Bays (Cresco, PA), Michael Smith (Lynnfield, MA) and Kevin Coyle (Salem, NH) crossed the line together, with Bays finishing 37th at 19:53 and Smith and Coyle coming in at 19:54.  Matt Gray (Haverhill, MA) ran a 21:44 while Brian White (Windham, NH) finished in 23:51.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Saturday when it competes in the Pop Crowell Invitational at Gordon College.
