HOOKSETT, N.H. - Visiting UMass Dartmouth used goals in
the first and second periods to post a 2-1 ice hockey victory over
Southern New Hampshire University at The Ice Den Saturday
afternoon. The Corsairs improved their record to 11-5-1
overall, while the Penmen are 5-8 on the season.
UMass Dartmouth scored the lone
goal of the first period at the 12:43 mark in a four-on-four
situation. Adam Horgan scored on assists from Jason Stahl and
Joe Hill.
The Penmen tied the game 3:33 into
the second period when Jon Lizzotte (Winslow,
ME) scored on a power play on an assist from Frank O'Connor
(Arlington, MA). The Corsairs would record the game-winner
with 37 seconds left in the second when Aaron Blades scored on
assists from Stahl and Hill.

Dryjowicz-Burek turned aside 27 shots for UMD en route to the
win. SNHU netminder Todd Rowley (Billerica,
MA) made 27 stops. UMass Dartmouth was 0-7 on the power play
while the Penmen were 1-4 with the man advantage.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Tuesday night when it hosts Salve Regina in a 8:30 contest
at The Ice Den.
