BOSTON- The
Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team finished
16th out of 18 schools competing in the Codfish Bowl at
Franklin Park Saturday morning.
Sophomore Jason
Bays (Cresco, Pa.) led the Penmen with a collegiate-best
time of 29:42 for the 8K layout to come in 130th
overall. Senior Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale,
N.Y.) was the next-highest SNHU finisher, turning in a time of
29:51. Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) posted a
time of 30:33, while Michael Smith (Lynnfield,
Mass.) posted a time of 31:17.
Tyler Parks
registered a time of 32:00, while Matt Gray
(Haverhill, Mass.) posted a time of 33:57. Brian
White (Windham, N.H.) rounded out the Penmen finishers
with a 35:49 effort.
The SNHU men's cross country team
returns to action next Saturday at the Gordon College Pop Crowell
Invitational.
