COLONIE,
N.Y. – Freshman Mike Giberti
(Derry, N.H.) led the Southern New Hampshire University men's
cross country team with a 25th place finish as it
finished seventh at the Golden Knights Joust hosted by The College
of Saint Rose at Crossings of Colonie Friday.
Giberti
completed the five-mile course in a time of 28:26 to lead the
Penmen. Jason Bays (Cresco, Pa.) was the
next-highest SNHU finisher, finishing with a time of 29:33 to place
46th. Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.)
traversed the course in 30:47, while Sam Tarrant
(Cleverdale, N.Y.) and Mike Smith (Lynnfield,
Mass.) finished with times of 30:58 and 30:59, respectively.
Jason
Grotton (China, Maine) finished with a time of 32:06,
while Matt Gray (Haverhill, Mass.) and
Brian White (Salem, N.H.) finished with times of
34:14 and 34:17. Robert Gray (Haverhill,
Mass.) rounded out the SNHU finishers with a 35:44 effort.
SNHU returns to
action Sunday, November 7 when it competes at the Northeast-10
Championship hosted by Stonehill College.
