Trailing 19-17 at halftime, Saint Anselm opened the second half on a 14-4 run and a conventional three-point play by Frame with 16:05 remaining gave the Hawks a 31-23 lead.  Southern New Hampshire gradually chipped away at the lead, and a layup by Megan Spanarkel (Tinton Falls, N.J.) with 6:08 remaining pulled the Penmen within three, 42-39.

On its next possession, the Hawks would reclaim a six-point lead when Gureckis knocked down a three.  Sloane Sorrell (Berwick, Maine) answered with a layup for SNHU on its next trip to make it 45-41, but the Penmen would get no closer.

Southern New Hampshire led most of the first half and took its largest lead, 19-13, with 5:20 left before halftime on a drive and layup by Magdala Johnson (Sandown, N.H.).  The Penmen took a 19-17 lead into the locker room.

Saint Anselm outrebounded Southern New Hampshire 38-31, including a 13-7 offensive rebounding edge.  The Hawks were 5-15 behind the arc while the Penmen missed all nine of their three-point attempts on the evening.
