EASTON, Mass. – The Southern New
Hampshire University men's cross country placed
14th at Sunday's Northeast-10 Championship held at
Stonehill College.
Freshman Mike Giberti (Derry, N.H.) was the top
SNHU finisher, completing the 8k course in a time of 27:41.
Giberti's time of 27:41 places him in sixth place all-time in
program history for fastest 8k race times.
Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) recorded a time of
29:48 in the race while Jason Bays (Cresco, Pa.)
registered a 30:49 effort. Kyle McNerney
(Granby, Mass.) traversed the course in a time of 31:00.
Tyler Parks (Moultonborough, N.H.) registered a
time of 31:12 and Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale, N.Y.)
finished five seconds behind Parks. Michael
Smith (Lynnfield, Mass.) completed his run in time of
31:24, while Jason Grotton (China, Maine) finished
behind Smith with a time of 32:05.
Doug Coulters (Weare, N.H.) concluded the race
with a time of 33:30 and Brian White (Salem, N.H.)
wrapped up with a time of 34:45. Rounding out the field for
the Penmen were Matt Gray (Haverhill, Mass.) and
Robert Gray (Haverhill, Mass.), finishing with
times of 36:05 and 37:18, respectively.
SNHU returns to action November 21 at the NCAA East Regionals,
held in Franklin Park in Boston.
