BOX SCORE

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Thomas Baudinet drained six three-pointers and finished with 24 points to lead Saint Anselm College to a 67-52 win over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 men's basketball at Stoutenburgh Gymnasium Wednesday night.  The Hawks, who are ranked No. 5 among Division II schools in the East Region, improved to 14-7 overall and 10-6 in the NE-10, while the Penmen, who saw a four-game win streak snapped, are now 13-8 and 8-8 in the league.

Baudinet made all six of his threes in the second half, going 6-7 behind the arc in the frame, and totaled 18 points over the final 20 minutes.  Jack Keough totaled nine points and nine rebounds for the Hawks, while Quinn Woodhouse added eight points and seven rebounds.

Tory Stapleton (Rahway, N.J.) led Southern New Hampshire with 12 points and five rebounds, going 5-11 from the field.  Josh Morgan-Green (Upper Marlboro, Md.) and Marcus Matthews (Valley Stream, N.Y.) each finished with eight points, while Hanell Velez (Woburn, Mass.) was 2-4 behind the arc and added six points.

Saint Anselm opened the game on a 10-0 run and held the Penmen scoreless until a three-pointer by Greg DeSantis (Trumbull, Conn.) with 14:36 left in the first half.  The Hawks took their largest lead of the half, 30-9, when a three by Luptowski with 2:30 left before intermission capped a 7-0 spurt, and Saint Anselm carried a 32-14 lead into the locker room.

Southern New Hampshire scored the first five points of the second half and a layup by Wood with 17:07 remaining made it a 32-19 contest.  The Hawks would respond with back-to-back threes by Baudinet and took a 38-19 lead with 16:05 to play.  Saint Anselm would maintain at least a 15-point cushion the rest of the way.

Saint Anselm held Southern New Hampshire to just 35.7% shooting for the contest, including just 5-28 (17.9%) shooting in the first half.  The Penmen outrebounded the Hawks 38-35 but were plagued by 20 turnovers.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday when it travels to Franklin Pierce University for a 3:30 contest.
