MANCHESTER, N.H. – A total of 26 Southern New Hampshire University student-athletes were recently named recipients of the Division II Athletics Directors Association (DII ADA) Academic Achievement Awards presented by WeatherPORT.  The Academic Achievement Awards is a program that recognizes the academic accomplishments of student-athletes at the Division II level.

In order for a student-athlete to receive an Academic Achivement Award, he/she must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher, have completed a minimum of two years of college level work, and have been a member of an intercollegiate team during the last academic year.

The Northeast-10 Conference led all Division II conferences, with 350 student-athletes nominated.  11 of SNHU's 15 varsity intercollegiate programs had at least one member honored, with men's ice hockey and women's tennis each having four student-athletes honored.
