COMPLETE RESULTS
MANCHESTER,
N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire men's
cross country team opened its season with a seventh-place finish at
the Shacklette Invitational hosted by Saint Anselm Saturday
morning.
Freshman Michael
Giberti (Derry, N.H.) was the top Penmen finisher in his
collegiate debut, finishing 15th overall with a time of 28:15 for
the eight-kilometer course. The mark was good for 17th
all-time in program history.
Junior Jason Bays
(Cresco, Penn.) finished 52nd overall with a time of
30:59. Junior Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) completed
the course in 31:54 to finish 59th overall, while
classmate Kyle McNerny (Granby, Mass.) finished
one spot behind with a time of 32:02.
Junior Tyler Parks
(Moultonborough, N.H.) ran a time of 32:40, graduate student
Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale, N.Y.) finished with a
32:52 mark, and senior Michael Smith (Lynnfield,
Mass.) completed the course with a time of 33:08.
Freshman Jason
Grotton (China, Maine) finished with a time of 34:48,
while junior Matt Gray (Haverhill, Mass.) had a
time of 36:40. Senior Brian White (Windham, N.H.)
ran a time of 38:08, and junior Robert Gray
(Haverhill, Mass.) finished with a time of 38:23 to round out the
Penmen finishers.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Saturday when it competes in the UMass Dartmouth
Invitational.
