COMPLETE RESULTS
DARTMOUTH, Mass.
– Freshman Mike Giberti (Derry, N.H.) posted
the second-fastest time in Southern New Hampshire University
men's cross country history Saturday at the UMass Dartmouth
Shriners Invitational. As a team the Penmen placed
30th of 36 schools.
Giberti, a product of Trinity High
School, traversed the 8K course in a time of 27:03, the
second-fastest time in program history and just 22 seconds off the
school record of 26:41 established by Alex Brown on the same course
in 2008. He finished 100th in the 272-runner
field.
Jason Bays
(Cresco, Pa.) was the next-highest finisher for SNHU, posting a
29:46 to place 202nd overall, just four seconds off his
personal best. Kyle McNerney (Granby, Mass.)
finished 12 seconds behind Bays to place 204th, while
Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) had a career-best 30:07
time. Sam Tarrant (Cleverdale, N.Y.) came in
with a 30:43 effort, while Tyler Parks
(Moultonborough, N.H.) finished the course in 31:01.
Mike Smith (Lynnfield, Mass.) rounded out the
Penmen finishers with a time of 31:33.
The Southern New Hampshire
University men's cross country team returns to action next
Saturday when it competes at the Codfish Bowl at Boston's
Franklin Park.
