DARTMOUTH, Mass—Freshman
Garrett Hammond (Haverhill, Mass.) ran a 28:43
race to lead the Southern New Hampshire University men's
cross country team to a 29th place finish at the UMass
Dartmouth “Shriners” Cross Country Invitational on
Saturday.
Jason Bays (Cresco, Pa.) was SNHU's
second-best finisher on the day, coming in a 28:43.
Kevin Coyle (Salem, N.H.) ran an even 6:00-minute
mile to finish with a time of 29:47, while Tom
Phillips (Madison, Conn.) and Doug
Coulters (Weare, N.H.) clocked close times of 30:28 and
31:00, respectively. Tyler Parks
(Moultonborough, N.H.) and Matt Gray (Haverhill,
Mass.) rounded out the pack with times of 31:33 and
33:20.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action next Saturday,
September 24 when it travels to Franklin Park in Boston to race in
the Codfish Bowl. Race time is slated for 1:15 p.m.
