Women's Soccer Hosts Crosstown Rival Saint Anselm Tuesday

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire hosts Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10 matchup Tuesday night.

THE COACHES: Terry Prouty is in her 14th season as women's soccer coach at SNHU...a former standout soccer and softball player for the Penmen and a 1988 graduate of then-New Hampshire College, Prouty has guided the Penmen to six Northeast-10 Tournament berths and one NCAA appearance...Prouty collected her 100th career win as head coach August 31 against Holy Family...Tony Wallis is in his sixth season as head coach at Saint Anselm...Prior to Saint Anselm, Wallis worked with the Raymond High School soccer team...additionally, Wallis has coached at Seacoast United for the past ten years

THE SERIES:SNHU leads the all-time series with Saint Anselm 19-8-3...last season, despite goals from Kasey Morrison and Emily Fougere, the Penmen fell to the Hawks 3-2 at Saint Anslem ...the Hawks were lifted by goals from Teresa Vercollone, Siobhan Flaherty, and Kelli Duggan...Gabriella Primera had five saves in the game for Saint Anslem while SNHU keepers Samantha Whittier and Maggie Weldon combined for two saves.

THE PENMEN: Southern New Hampshire comes into Tuesday's matchup riding a six game unbeaten streak after defeating Pace 2-0 last week.....senior Kaleigh Roberge leads the Penmen with six goals and four assists for 16 points...Roberge has netted four game-winning goals on the season...Ashley Jaskula has recorded six goals and two assists, including the game winning goal Saturday at Pace... Lexxi Carroll has registered three goals on the season, while Kasey Morrison and Morgan Branco have added two goals apiece....the defense, which is anchored by senior co-captains Daniela Abruzzese and Emily Mongeau, has allowed just 11 goals in 14 games...Maggie Weldon has started 13 of 14 games in goal for the Penmen and owns a 0.80 goals-against average and .756 save percentage with three shutouts.

THE HAWKS: Saint Anselm is coming off a 3-1 loss on the road at Adelphi...Kaitlin Oldfield leads the Hawks offensively with six goals and  two assists, while Callie Millet has netted a pair of goals on the season...Gabriella Primera  has started every game in goal and owns a 1.61 goals-against average and .762 save percentage.

WHAT'S NEXT: Southern New Hampshire plays its final regular season home game Saturday when it hosts nationally-ranked American International...the Penmen will honor six seniors playing in their final regular season home game that afternoon.

DID YOU KNOW: At 20-5-2 overall, the combined record of the SNHU women's and men's soccer teams through Sunday is the best in the Northeast-10.
