MANCHESTER, N.H. – Senior Kaleigh Roberge (Manchester, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team was named Daktronics Division II All-America Honorable Mention, it was announced Thursday evening. The Daktronics All-America and All-Region teams are selected by athletics communications professionals at NCAA Division II institutions.
Roberge, a midfielder, started all 22 games for the Penmen and recorded seven goals and seven assists for 21 points on the season, leading the team in assists while ranking second in goals. A NE-10 First Team selection, Roberge had a pair of goals in a 2-1 overtime win at UMass Lowell and also scored the lone goal in a conference semifinal win at five-time defending NE-10 tournament champion Saint Rose. For her career, Roberge finished with 25 goals and 18 assists for 68 points.
Southern New Hampshire finished the 2012 season 13-5-4 overall and finished in third place in the Northeast-10 with an 8-4-3 mark. The Penmen captured the program's first NE-10 tournament title and made the third NCAA tourney appearance for the program and the first since 2003. SNHU posted its most victories since 1997.
