Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – A goal by Kendra Bonczar 4:07 into overtime lifted Saint Anselm College to a 1-0 Northeast-10 women's soccer victory over Southern New Hampshire University at Melucci Field Tuesday afternoon. The Hawks upped their record to 6-6-2 overall and 5-5-1 in NE-10 play, while the Penmen saw a six-game unbeaten streak snapped and are now 7-5-3 and 4-4-3 in the league.
After two scoreless halves, Bonczar scored the game-winner when she took a through ball from Emma Furlone on the left side and fired it past SNHU keeper Samantha Whittier (Sutton, Mass.) for her fifth goal of the season.
Saint Anselm keeper Cassie Quattropani made four saves en route to the shutout, while Whittier turned aside four shots as well. The Penmen had a 14-10 shot advantage, while the Hawks took all four of the game's corner kicks.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Saturday when it travels to eighth-ranked American International College for a 1:00 contest.
