BOSTON, Mass. – The Southern New
Hampshire men's cross country team placed 25th
overall at the NCAA East Regional 10k race at Franklin Park in
Boston Sunday afternoon. The team ran a strong race overall, and
finished three spots higher than last season.
All top-five finishers for SNHU placed with program-best 10k
times. Michael Bisbee (Ashburnham, Mass.)
was the first Penmen to finish at 117th with a time of
35:55. His time is good for third on the program all-time
men's 10k list. Jacob Wormald (Pelham, N.H.)
crossed the finish line second with a time of 36:03, and
Matthew Reinhold (Candia, N.H.) finished two
seconds after Wormald with a time of 36:05 for fourth and fifth on
the all-time list. Justin Barcomb (Burlington,
Vt.) finished the race in a time of 36:18 at 129th
place, and Chris Low (Hudson, N.H.) rounded out
the top five at 142nd, completing the 10k in 36:55.
Stonehill was the overall winner of the race, while Franklin
Pierce finished second. American International and Adelphi placed
fourth and fifth representing the Northeast-10 Conference in the
top five.
