WALTHAM, Mass. – Lauren Battista totaled 18 points to lead No. 1 Bentley University to a 71-42 victory over Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 women's basketball Tuesday night at the Dana Center.  The Falcons remained unbeaten at 7-0 and 4-0 in the NE-10, while the Penmen saw a four-game win streak snapped and are now 4-2 and 2-1 in the league.

Battista finished 6-12 from the floor to lead three Falcons in double figures.  Courtney Finn was 5-10 from the field and finished with 12 points, while Jen Gemma tallied 12 points and 10 rebounds off the bench.

Southern New Hampshire was led by sophomore Amra Elezovic (Manchester, N.H.), who knocked down a pair of three-pointers and finished with 14 points.  Classmate Bianca Langford (Worcester, Mass.) registered eight points.

Elezovic had SNHU's first nine points as the guests held a 9-8 lead six minutes into the game before Bentley outscored the Penmen 19-4 over the next six minutes to build a 27-13 lead on a Caleigh Crowell basket at the 7:09 mark.  The Falcons led by as many as 20 in the opening stanza and took a 37-19 lead to the locker room.  Bentley maintained at least a 16-point lead throughout the second half and led by as many as 34.

Bentley shot 44.4% for the game while limiting the Penmen to 27.8% shooting, including a 3-13 effort behind the arc.  The Falcons were 13-18 at the free throw line while SNHU was 9-11, and the hosts held a 43-35 rebounding advantage.  Bentley was also able to turn 28 Southern New Hampshire turnovers into 31 points.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Wednesday, December 4 when the Penmen welcome Franklin Pierce University for a 5:30 tilt.
