PREVIEW: Penmen Host Franklin Pierce for Senior Night Thursday

THE MATCHUP: Southern New Hampshire hosts  Northeast-10 opponent Franklin Pierce Thursday night at 7:30 p.m.

THE COACHES: Ken Hutchins is in his sixth season as head coach at SNHU...a 1987 graduate of SNHU, Hutchins previously served as an assistant for ten years before assuming the role as Head Coach..Hutchins has also led the Penmen to an appearance in the championship game of the ECAC Division II/Northeast-10 Conference Tournament in 2000, 2001, 2005 and 2006... Jaymie Harrington enters his fifth season as Head Coach of the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey program in 2012-13. It is also his sixth year with the team, as he served as an Assistant Coach in 2007-08. Through four seasons as the bench boss in Rindge, Harrington is the program's all-time winningest coach in terms of both wins and winning percentage, at 25-64-7 (.297).

THE SERIES: The Penmen face the Ravens for the third time this season. SNHU won 2-0 at home while losing 3-2 at Franklin Pierce Tuesday night.

THE PENMEN: SNHU is coming off its first loss in six games losing to Franklin Pierce 3-2 on Tuesday night...Tyler Holske totaled 26 saves in net on the night, and  has notched 507 saves on the season for a .896 save percentage...Jim Gabrione leads the Penmen offense with 10 goals and 12 assists for 22 points...Joe Collins has contributed seven goals and 12 assists on the season for 19 points, while Steven Berry has added 17 points on the season.

THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce is coming off its third straight win over Stonehill, Saint Michaels, and SNHU...Roscoe Sweeney is the leading scorer with six goals and 12 assists to total 18 points...Michael Carr has also added 10 goals and five assists for 15 points on the season...he is coming off winning the Northeast-10 player of the week...in net for the Ravens, Dave O' Brien leads the team in saves with 355 and a save percentage of .927...he also has a team best GAA of 2.88.

WHAT'S NEXT: The Penmen will remain idle until the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs begin. The rankings as well as time and place will be determined at a later date.
