THE MATCHUP: The Southern New Hampshire volleyball team hosts Lynn University Friday evening at 7:30 in the SNHU Fieldhouse.
THE SERIES: The Penmen and the Fighting Knights have not matched up against each other dating back to 2006.
THE PENMEN: SNHU is coming off of a 3-2 comeback win over Assumption Tuesday...newcomer Victoria Wehrmann notched 22 kills in the win, and leads the conference in kills per set with 4.10...co-captain sophomore Catherine Cotton has totaled 193 assists thus far, and also sits first in the conference with assists per set with 9.65...teammate Maeghan Higgins continues to serve well as she leads the conference in aces per set with .65, and leads the team with 13 aces...Emma Houlihan is second on the team in kills with 53, averaging 2.65 per set...the sophomore middle hitter has also totaled a team-best 10 blocks for the Penmen.
THE FIGHTING KNIGHTS: Lynn is coming off of a 3-0 win over Daemen College Saturday afternoon...Angie Caple leads the team in kills with 87...the senior also leads the team in blocks with 21...Marissa Tandron leads the Fighting Knights in assists with 260, averaging 8.97 per set...Katie Knight has totaled a team-best 69 digs, while Mandy McIntosh has recorded 60 digs and a team-high 13 service aces.
WHAT'S NEXT: The Penmen return to action Saturday when they travel to Merrimack College for a tri-match. SNHU will take on Post University at 11:00 am, followed by a 1:00 pm match against Dowling College.
