FULL NORTHEAST-10 HOCKEY REPORT

SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – Anthony Laperriere (Winchendon, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team was named Northeast-10 Player of the Week as announced by league offices Monday afternoon.

Laperriere scored twice and had an assist this past week to help the Penmen to a 2-0 week with victories over Westfield State on Tuesday and Salve Regina this past Saturday. He tallied his second goal of the season to tie the game at three against Westfield State, as the Penmen continued to win the game in overtime by a score of 5-4.

The sophomore then assisted on the first goal of the game at Salve Regina by Nick Riccio (Wilmington, Mass.), for his fifth assist on the season. With SNHU trailing 3-1 going into the third period, Laperriere tallied his third goal of the season from classmate Jim O'Connor (Arlington, Mass.) to cut the deficit to 3-2, and SNHU ended up rallying to win the game 4-3 in the final period.

Laperriere is second on the team in points among defensemen with eight, including three goals and five assists. He ranks sixth in the Northeast-10 Conference among his position in scoring as well.

The Penmen return to action tomorrow, January 21 when they host Franklin Pierce in a NE-10 Conference game at 7:30 PM.
