BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's cross country team recorded a seventh-place finish at the 2014 Paul Short Cross Country Invitational at Lehigh University. The Penmen competed in the Men's White race, which consisted of 22 teams and 225 student-athletes.
Freshman Tyler McLaren (Pepperell, Mass.) led SNHU for the second consecutive race, registering a time of 26:41 for a 15th-place finish. Classmate Andrew Tuttle (Alton, N.H.) crossed the finish line right behind McLaren in 26:43, good enough for 17th.
Junior Michael Bisbee (Ashburnham, Mass.) was the third Penmen finisher on Saturday, completing the course in 27:59. Sophomore Jacob Wormald (Pelham, N.H.) crossed the line in 27:59 and graduate student Devin Bennett (Ballston Spa, N.Y.) rounded out the SNHU top-five in 28:12.
Senior Chris Low (Hudson, N.H.) and freshman Bryan Spooner (Pepperell, Mass.) completed the list of Penmen finishers on Saturday, posting times of 28:26 and 29:04, respectively.
Southern New Hamsphire is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 11 when it travels to Westfield, Mass. for the James Earley Invitational at Stanley Park.
