SOUTH EASTON, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's tennis team has earned the No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the 2014 Northeast-10 Men's Tennis Championship. The Penmen will host a semifinal on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 pm against either third-seeded Bentley University or No. 6 seed Assumption College. The Falcons and Greyhounds are slated to meet in a first round matchup on Tuesday.
SNHU finished in a three-way tie for second with Bentley and Adelphi University with an 8-2 league mark, but earned the No. 2 seed based on NE-10 tiebreaking criteria.
Southern New Hampshire, at 16-5 overall and 8-2 in Northeast-10 play, seeks its first NE-10 crown after reaching the conference finals in 2011 and 2013.
