2014-15 SNHU MEN'S ICE HOCKEY SCHEDULE

MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University men's ice hockey team opens up its 2014-15 schedule with a road Northeast-10 Conference game at Saint Michael's College on Saturday, November 1.  The Penmen are slated to play a 25-game slate in 2014-15, including 13 home contests at The Ice Den in Hooksett, N.H.

After opening up against the Purple Knights in a rematch of last season's NE-10 title game won 4-1 by SNHU, the Penmen return home for their home opener on Tuesday, November 4 against Framingham State University.  Southern New Hampshire is at the Ice Den five times in November, also playing varsity newcomer Daniel Webster College (November 14) and Suffolk University (November 25).  The weekend after Thanksgiving features the traditional Manchester Police Athletic League (PAL)/Stovepipe Tournament, with SNHU facing Fitchburg State University on Saturday, November 29, and either SUNY Cortland or the University of New England on Sunday, November 30.

December sees just two contests, both at home, with Southern New Hampshire hosting Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday, December 2 and Western New England University on Sunday, December 7.  After opening January on the 2nd at Becker, the Penmen play four games in upstate New York, facing Empire State foes SUNY Brockport (January 5), Fredonia State (January 6), Morrisville State (January 10) and Oswego State (January 11).

After heading to Westfield State on January 13, all but two of the remaining nine contests are against NE-10 foes, starting with a January 17 home date against Assumption College.  The Penmen face crosstown rival Saint Anselm College at home on Tuesday, February 3, and after closing out conference play on February 10 against Franklin Pierce, host SUNY Canton for a pair of non-league contests on Saturday, February 14 and Sunday, February 15.

The four-team Northeast-10 Ice Hockey Championship begins on Saturday, February 21 with a pair of semifinal contests, with the winners meeting at the highest remaining seed on Saturday, February 28.
