The Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team opened its 2015 season with a 3-0 win over Spring Hill College at the Rollins College Invitational Friday morning.
Victoria Wehrmann (Dallas, Texas), playing in her first match since 2013, finished with nine kills and hit .300, while Carolyn Scacchi (Peabody, Mass.) and Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) added seven and six kills, respectively.  Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) handed out 24 assists, while Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) registered 23 digs.
Notes:
  - SNHU rallied from a 22-15 deficit in the first set, and trailed 24-20 when it reeled off five straight points to take a 25-24 lead on a Scacchi kill.
  - Spring Hill was 26-7 last season, while the Penmen were 17-11.
  - Southern New Hampshire hit .191 as a team, while the Badgers hit just .042.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Friday at 5:00 when it faces the University of Sioux Falls.
