The Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team finished 1-1 after day one of the Rollins College Invitational after falling to the University of Sioux Falls 3-1. The Penmen defeated Spring Hill College 3-0 earlier in the day.
Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) handed out 39 assists and added 17 defensive digs for Southern New Hampshire, while Victoria Wehrmann (Richardson, Texas) had a team-high 13 kills. Marisa Coronis (Hudson, N.H.) added 12 kills. Maeghan Higgins (Hesperia, Calif.) had 21 digs for Southern New Hampshire.
Notes:
- SNHU again rallied for a first-set victory, trailing 20-13 before posting a 26-24 win.
- The Cougars improved to 3-0 after posting two victories Friday. They opened the season with a win over Flagler Thursday.
- Coronis hit .400 with just two errors and 25 total attempts.
- Megan Salamun (Scottsdale, Ariz.) finished with six block assists, while Holly Adams (Hopkinton, Mass.) added five.
- Sioux Falls was led by Makenna Rockeman's 17 kills.
What's Next:
Southern New Hampshire is back in action twice at the Rollins Invitational Saturday, facing Southeastern Oklahoma at 9:00 am and Northern State at 5:00 pm.
