Tickets Available for the Granite State Showdown at the Verizon Wireless Arena

MANCHESTER, N.H. – For the second consecutive season, the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team will take to the ice at Manchester's Verizon Wireless Arena and join the Manchester Monarchs for the Granite State Showdown on Sunday, Jan. 24. The Penmen will host Franklin Pierce University in a Northeast-10 Conference clash at noon and, following that game, the Monarchs will take on the Adirondack Thunder at 3 p.m.

Tickets are available to the general public for $10 and will provide admittance to both games, while the first 200 Southern New Hampshire students will receive complimentary tickets for both contests, courtesy of SNHU CAPE and the SNHU Sport Management Club. Southern New Hampshire University students will also receive a pizza party, sponsored by the Department of Athletics and Recreation and CAPE, as well as shuttle service to and from the arena. For Southern New Hampshire student tickets, click here.

In recent years, the Verizon Wireless Arena has also hosted collegiate hockey events such as the NCAA Division I Men's Ice Hockey Northeast Regional Championship and select regular season contests for the University of New Hampshire. In last year's game at the Verizon Wireless Arena, the Penmen skated to a 6-1 victory over SUNY Canton. The Verizon Wireless Arena has a seating capacity of over 10,000, and includes 542 club seats and 34 suites.
