NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – Graduate student Joe Collins (Mansfield, Mass.) of the Southern New Hampshire University ice hockey team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week on Monday, as the league announced its weekly honors.
Collins registered seven points in two games for the Penmen, as they posted a pair of wins over Post University and Assumption College. He opened the week with a goal and three assists in an 8-1 victory against the Eagles on Wednesday before recording his first career hat trick in a 5-3 triumph versus the Greyhounds on Saturday.
Through six games this season, Collins leads Southern New Hampshire in goals (5), assists (8) and total points (13). He has at least one point in five contests, has logged four multi-point efforts and leads the Northeast-10 in points.
The Penmen are back in action Tuesday (Nov. 22) when they play host to Worcester State University at 7:30 p.m.
