Notes: After having their four-game winning streak snapped last Friday, the Penmen bounced back with a 6-1 win over Franklin Pierce University on Saturday. Freshman Zack Ciampa (Revere, Mass.) turned in a career night against the Ravens with four assists and a plus-five rating. Six different Southern New Hampshire student-athletes found the back of the net Saturday, as sophomore Brett Strawn (Wareham, Mass.) and senior Chris Moquin (Hooksett, N.H.) providing all the offense the Penmen would need in the first period. After FPU trimmed its deficit to a single goal, Southern New Hampshire pumped in four-straight goals to secure the 6-1 win. Sophomore Kurt Gutting (Weymouth, Mass.) upped his record to 4-0-0 on the year after registering 31 saves.

Notes: Saint Michael's won its ninth game of the season on Saturday when it handed Stonehill College a 4-1 defeat. After a scoreless first period, sophomore Hadan Jordan (Colorado Springs, Colo.) staked the hosts to a one-goal lead in the second before the Skyhawks tied things up less than seven minutes into the third. Junior Sam D'Antuono (Hingham, Mass.) broke the one-all stalemate with a powerplay marker 10:51. After junior Jack Oullette (Arlington, Mass.) added an insurance tally late in the third, D'Antuono provided the final margin of scoring with an empty netter with 22 ticks remaining. Junior Chris Johnson (Duxbury, Mass.) earned the win between the pipes for Saint Michael's after stopping 21 of the 22 shots he faced.
