Graduate student Sydney Crema (Litchfield, N.H.) and freshman Dorthea Glorud (Brumunddal, Norway) each collected three points on a goal and an assist to lead the 24th-ranked Southern New Hampshire University women's soccer team to its seventh straight win with a 4-0 blanking of Saint Michael's College on Saturday at Duffy Field.

- Glorud matches her career high with the three points.
- Freshman goalkeeper Hannah Rose (Waterloo, Ontario) stopped both shots she faced in the first 57:40 of action.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The match was scoreless early in the 27th minute when senior Miranda Peloquin (Greenville, R.I.) found the back of the net for the second time in three matches with a penalty kick goal that made it 1-0.
- Southern New Hampshire doubled its lead just 1:32 later when Glorud collected a cross from Crema on her right just outside the 6-yard box and beat Saint Michael's goalkeeper Megan LeCours.
- The score stayed that way until just under four minutes into the second half, as Glorud returned the favor, sending a cross from the right to the foot of Crema, who tapped it past LeCours to stretch the lead to 3-0.
- Just over four minutes after that, the Penmen capped the scoring when senior Danielle Humphreys (Hebron, Conn.) delivered a cross into the middle of the box that was deflected by a defender before sophomore Allyson Patterson (Seekonk, Mass.) was able to get a shot off that sailed into the left side of the net for the 4-0 lead.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Junior goalkeeper Brittany Wilkie (Victorville, Calif.) did not see a shot over the final 32:20 for the Penmen. LeCours stopped four shots for the Purple Knights.
- SNHU held a 10-7 edge in shots, including 6-3 in the opening half.
- Corner kicks were even at 2-all.
NOTES
- SNHU, which jumped back into the United Soccer Coaches Division II Poll at No. 24 on Tuesday, has won eight of its last nine matches, including seven straight.
- The seven-match win streak is the longest for the Penmen since they won nine-in-a-row Oct. 2-28, 1997.
- At 11-3-0, Southern New Hampshire is off to its best start since that '97 season when it began the year 12-2-0.
- The victory pushes the Penmen back into first place atop the Northeast-10 standings.
- Crema now leads the NE10 with eight assists. Her three points briefly forced a three-way tie for the team lead with 16 points before Humphreys gathered point No. 17 on an assist 4:15 later.
- The Penmen are now 30-8-5 (.756) over their last 43 matches dating back to the 2016 campaign.
