NORTHEAST-10 RELEASE
MANSFIELD, Mass. – For the second consecutive week, senior Matt Paradis (Hooksett, N.H.) of the Southern New Hampshire University men's golf team was named the Northeast-10 Golfer of the Week and freshman Matt Conti (Walpole, Mass.) was selected as the NE10 Rookie of the Week, both for the period ending Sept. 18, the conference office announced Wednesday.
Paradis fired a pair of 1-under 69s to card a 2-under 138 for the tournament that was good enough to earn him individual medalist honors Tuesday at the Penmen Fall Invitational. Paradis collected a tournament-high eight birdies over 36 holes to help the Penmen place fourth, overall, at Hanover Country Club.
Conti, meanwhile, finished tied for 14th, overall, with a 4-over 144, including a 1-over 71 in the final round.
Paradis, Conti and the Penmen return to the links Sept.30-Oct. 1 for the Northeast-10 Championship at the En-Joie Golf Club in Endicott, N.Y.
