Sophomore Conner Leone (Southington, Conn.) led the Penmen squad at Saturday's New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston.
STANDOUT PERFORMERS
- Leone finished the 8k course in 26:32, finishing in 83rd place among 170 runners.
- Leone just edged out junior Jack Ardrey (Milford, Conn.) Ardrey ran a 26:35.
- Sophomore Jacob Logan (Norwood, Mass.) finished in 27:31.
NOTES
- The top four runners on the team were held out to allow some younger members to participate.
- Providence College (42) won the team title, edging out Northeastern University (75). Ezra Mutai, an American International College freshman, won the men's 8k in 24:17.
