MANCHESTER, N.H. – The Southern New Hampshire University baseball team is holding an online raffle that will help defray the cost of travel for trips it will be taking to Colorado and South Carolina to play eight games on its 2020 schedule. The raffle is open until Feb. 7.
SNHU baseball players and coaches will be selling the raffle tickets online at a cost of $50 per ticket, with $40 going directly to the player or coach the buyer designates – or the team's general fund, if preferred. The remaining $10 will go into a pool of money that will be raffled off at the SNHU Pre-Season Meet Up Dinner on Feb. 8. Each ticket purchased is good for one entry into the raffle, with one winner being drawn at the dinner, which will take place at the SNHU Dining Center Banquet Hall. All winners are subject to applicable taxes. SNHU employees and students will have taxes withheld through the University payroll system. Non-SNHU employees or students are responsible for any and all applicable taxes. SNHU employees and students will receive payment through the University payroll system. Purchasing raffle tickets, which are not tax deductible, is not a donation.
