SNHU Ranked 32nd in Initial Learfield Sports Directors' Cup Standings Unveil

NACDA RELEASE

CLEVELAND – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department sits 32nd in the initial release of the Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings, as it totaled 67.00 points across the three fall sports included in the first release.

The Penmen, who claimed the top spot last week in the Northeast-10 Presidents' Cup following the fall season, are the third-ranked NE10 institution in the Learfield standings, which include 67 Division II schools to this point. SNHU's best finish ever was 41st in the 2015-16 season.

Southern New Hampshire received 42 points in women's cross country for its 32nd-place finish at its first ever NCAA National Championship, as well as 25 additional points from field hockey, which claimed its first NCAA Championship berth in program history and bowed out in the first round on penalty strokes.

The Learfield Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships.
