KEY MOMENTS
- Southern New Hampshire led by just three at 42-39 with two-and-a-half minutes to play before the break when it scored the final 11 points of the stanza, as part of a 24-2 burst that gave the hosts their largest lead of the day at 66-41 with 17:22 remaining. Montague and Almonacy led the way with nine and five points, respectively, while Joyce and Long canned 3-pointers during the stretch. The Penmen held the Redhawks scoreless for three-and-a-half minutes twice during the run.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
- Amari Lee paced Roberts Wesleyan with 19 points (5-13 FG, 1-3 3-FG, 8-8 FT).
- The Penmen outshot the Redhawks, 53.3 percent (32-60) to 41.5 percent (27-65), including 29.6 percent (8-27) to 22.7 percent (5-22) from downtown.
- SNHU was also plus-5 from the line, while RWC shot it better, 89.5 percent (17-19) to 73.3 percent (22-30).
- The Penmen collected more points off turnovers (21-7) and on the fast break (29-14), in addition to featuring a better assist-to-turnover ratio (14/12-7/19), while the Redhawks captured the glass (39-31) and the paint (40-38), and totaled up more second chance points (15-10).
